Woo, four day week! Yaa. The problem with shortened weeks like this is that they are, well, too short. And it makes the following week suck because it feels even longer. But oh well, I'll make it. I'm just glad football season is here...summer is my favorite time of the year, but college football season is also one of my favorites, if only because of all the great memories I have about watching games every weekend, the weather dropping from the 90s to the much cooler mid 80s, etc...and now with football season (college more specifically, but I do like the Bucs) being here, my weekends will be pretty, ahem, busy. Hehe.

The biggest and perhaps most bizarre story of the weekend was about a pizzaman in PA and the weirdest bank robbery I've ever heard of. Poor Brian Wells, he was reportedly strapped up with a bomb by a robber and told to rob a bank or else the bomb would be detonated. He did the robbery but unfortunately, the bomb was not defused in time and he was killed. The FBI is looking into this but if this doesn't sound like a movie-of-the-week in the making, I don't know what is. Also gives new meaning to "What do you want on your Tombstone", eh? Hehe.

Ten painfully level-headed suggestions by Walter Kronkite to all of the nominees for the Democratic nomination. Now if only we could get them to LISTEN to the wise old man of journalism, we might actually have a real shot.

Now, as you know from last week, Howard Dean jumped to a 21 point lead over John Kerry in Iowa. Kerry is fighting back as he tries to get some ground back from Dean. What troubles me though, is that with all the pressure and strength being given to Dean, I'm starting to wonder if hie is being the sacrifical lamb to the lions come the real debate time.

So, err...according to the Bush administration, CO2 (you know, the leading cause of global warming) is not a danger to the environment. All I can do over this story, is just shake my head in disgust. We are destroying this planet at the cost of a few extra bucks for already rich people.

Finally, a subhead I never thought I'd see Pop Goes the Bible - The New Testament Meets Cosmo, as Pop Culture and Religion Intersect. Wow.
