My DVD collection will grow more today (I really need to publish that online), as I pick up Family Guy Season 3, 24 Season 2 and Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, a sorely overlooked film from last year that actually shows George Clooney to have real directing talent. That will bring the total to...umm...144? Yeah, I think that's about right. I'm just a good little consumer, what can I say. :P

Welcome to the USSA folks. Criticizing the President is now akin to being a traitor, at least according to Rummy. Fuck, does this guy hate this country or what? I mean, blind following of your leader, sure. But going after the rest of us who DO want to critcize him? That's weak, and totally against everything this country (Republican or Democrat, it doesn't matter) stands for.

In other Orwellian news, plans are going ahead for screening flyers more intensely now, including the long-ago-thought-dead-but-apparently-not-really idea of a "rating" system on how much of a threat you are. Let the massive, widespread petty abuse begin.

Leni Riefenstahl, Hitler's filmmaker who received much criticism but also a great deal of praise, died today, at age 101. Talk about living history...

I'm not sure I buy this, but a judge in Virginia says that pop-up ads are just part of the cost of using the Net. Well, that may be but at least I have Mozilla to avoid having to PAY that cost. Seriously, why won't IE just release an automatic popup blocker BUILT IN to the browser. I mean, if AOL is actually doing it, you might as well jump in too.

Apple continues to sell a lot of songs, breaking the 10 million mark. *Keeping fingers crossed for Windows users, to get Apple crazy revenue...*

Speaking of music piracy (aren't I always?), the EFF is saying that people shouldn't listen to the RIAA's "amnesty" promise because they still might get sued since the amnesty doesn't really do anything. So don't go declaring yourselves criminals kids, ya hear?

No surprise here: Fat Americans, fat pets. Maybe giving Fido that Big Mac wasn't the best idea in the world...

My inner child is sixteen years old today

My inner child is sixteen years old!

Life's not fair! It's never been fair, but while
adults might just accept that, I know
something's gotta change. And it's gonna
change, just as soon as I become an adult and
get some power of my own.

How Old is Your Inner Child?
