Fall has hit here surprisingly quickly, after a rather mild summer. I say "fall" because we have weather in the 80s now, as opposed to what should be the 90s or even 100s. I'm not sure what that will mean for the coming winter, but I hope that it won't get too cold here in southern Georgia...err, I mean North Florida.
The Man in Black is gone. I woke up hearing "Hurt" on the radio and then got the news that way, which really sucks, considering the impact he had on music. I find it interesting that June, his wife of 35 years, died just a few weeks back. I guess true love means not living without each other. We will miss you Johnny.
In a bit more surprising news, John Ritter (from Three's Company and 8 Simple Rules) collapsed and died on set of his show yesterday, apparently of a heart condition that went un-diagnosed. All these celebrities, dropping like flies...
One last celebrity bit for ya - Tommy Chong is going to jail for 9 months, after being hit in a drug raid a few months back. Damn, all he did was sell bongs...
Now, allow me to present the The Top 25 Censored Media Stories of 2002-2003. The most censored? News of the neo-conservative agenda in this country of course. Shock me, shock me :P
I could post a bunch of music industry and p2p related news, but I don't know how many of you actually care. Hehe. So click if you want, skip on out if you don't.
Finally, I'll leave you with a link that is 2 years old, but stems from photos taken around the world after 9/11. Just further evidence of the sympathy we have squandered...sigh.
